A grower talks about taking out MPCI for the first time

Drought across much of the country has refocussed attention on options for grain growers to manage production and financial risks within their business. Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) is one of the tools available for farmers. Ian Gourley farms near Narrabri in north west New South Wales, producing cereals, pulses and oilseeds in winter and cotton and sorghum in summer. Here he talks about taking out MPCI this year for the first time. CEO of Latevo, Andrew Trotter provides the perspective of an MPCI provider.
